Dive Center Project
How a Dive School Rebuilt Its Fleet Around 14 Identical Dive RIBs
A dive school expanding its certification courses needed boats configured for real dive operations — tank stowage, easy water re-entry in full gear, and identical handling so instructors and students could switch hulls without missing a step.

The Story
From Challenge to Delivered Boats
The Challenge
The existing fleet was mismatched — different consoles, ladder styles and rack layouts meant instructors re-rigged gear between boats and lost course time. Budgets were tight, and the school's growth plan depended on ordering identical stock later.
Our Solution
One dive-proven 4.7 m platform — the rib-alloy-470 — with a standard dive fit-out repeated on every hull, fleet pricing for the volume, and a spare-parts package with repair guidance sized to daily charter-style use.
Controlled Delivery
Quality & Delivery Control Lines
Quality and Inspection Controls
Quality Basis:
Approved sample, technical specification, customer-approved BOM, artwork reference and packing requirements.
Inspection Focus:
- Fit-out dimensional checks — rack spacing and ladder mounting
- Hull weld and seam verification per boat
- Inflation and 24-hour pressure-hold records
- Branding and numbering accuracy across the run
- Spares-kit completeness before shipment release
Issue Control:
Non-conforming items were placed under controlled hold and re-inspected after approved corrective action.
Evidence:
Batch-level inspection records and packing checks retained by project, linked to the approved sample and specification.
Production and Delivery Controls
Planning Inputs:
Approved sample · final artwork · accessory configuration · packaging readiness · confirmed order quantity.
Milestones:
Sample approval → production release → production scheduling → final inspection → packing verification → shipment preparation.
Delivery Readiness:
SKU configuration, labeling, manuals, barcodes, carton marking and packing quantity verified before shipment release.
Outcome:
Uniform dive fleet, identical expansion reorder.
Configuration
Customized Product Configuration
Elements defined, approved and locked with the client before production.
- rib-alloy-470 platform chosen for load capacity and sea behavior
- Tank racks dimensioned to maximum course loads
- Low-step stern re-entry ladder for climbing back in with full gear
- Oxygen-kit bracket, anchor kit stowage and dive-flag brackets
- Center branding and hull numbering across the fleet
- Reorder specification locked for identical future expansion
Process
How the Project Ran
- 1
Center intake
Course formats, student loads and site conditions reviewed.
- 2
Fit-out definition
Tank racks, ladder style and stowage zones fixed as one standard.
- 3
Fleet branding
Center name, colors and hull numbering applied across the run.
- 4
Delivery & grow
Fleet delivered with spares; identical reorder reserved for expansion.
The Result
Instructors now run the same drill on every boat — racks, ladders and consoles match hull-for-hull — and the school booked an identical expansion reorder for the following season at the same locked specification.
