The Story

From Challenge to Delivered Boats

The Challenge

Beginners need stable, forgiving craft; instructors need a fast safety boat with clear lines of sight; cohorts rotate every year so replacements must match; and storage between sessions is limited.

Our Solution

Air-deck trainer dinghies (airdock-330) with grip decks and full-length grab lines, one safety RIB (rib-alloy-360) configured for instructor duty, one consistent fleet configuration, and instructor guidance plus program labels included.

Controlled Delivery

Quality & Delivery Control Lines

Quality and Inspection Controls

Quality Basis:

Approved sample, technical specification, customer-approved BOM, artwork reference and packing requirements.

Inspection Focus:

  • Stability and fitting-security verification on the approved sample
  • Inflation and 24-hour pressure-hold records
  • Grab-line and cleat attachment checks across the run
  • Artwork and finish consistency
  • Kit completeness and program packaging checks

Issue Control:

Non-conforming items were placed under controlled hold and re-inspected after approved corrective action.

Evidence:

Batch-level inspection records and packing checks retained by project, linked to the approved sample and specification.

Production and Delivery Controls

Planning Inputs:

Approved sample · final artwork · accessory configuration · packaging readiness · confirmed order quantity.

Milestones:

Sample approval → production release → production scheduling → final inspection → packing verification → shipment preparation.

Delivery Readiness:

SKU configuration, labeling, manuals, barcodes, carton marking and packing quantity verified before shipment release.

Outcome:

Consistent fleet matched to the approved sample; renewal spec locked.

  • Instructor guidance and program labels
  • Storage rack configuration and program packaging

Process

How the Project Ran

  1. 1

    Program review

Session format, group size and storage defined the configuration.

  2. 2

    Configuration

Trainer fit-out and safety-boat spec fixed across the fleet.

  3. 3

    Sample approval

Stability, grab lines and fit-out verified on physical boats.

  4. 4

    Fleet delivery

Program quantities produced with kit and packaging verification.

The Result

The fleet shipped as one consistent configuration — every boat matching the approved sample — and instructors reported calmer first sessions, with a matching renewal planned for next year's cohort.
